One of the latest developments of Step-Soft, e-commerce system, is designed to provide direct connection between S-Office ERP and web based e-shop. Depending of client's requirements, the e-shop can be addition to or main part of Step-Soft's customer's web site. The feature that differs S-Online is the unique connection between commercial, manufacturing and S-Office ERP systems and the web part of the e-shop. After initial configuration, the maintenance of items, published for sale is entirely covered by S-Office application. This will prevent duplication and save time for implementation.

The following factors should be considered when designing S-Office Online system:

The design and base functionality of the system is defined in Front-End (interface) of S-Office Online. There is defined the type of product catalog, access rights, also the information, which is necessary at registration and provided after Login in the system. 

The design can be decided in several ways:

• The design to be provided in raw form (single Photoshop file) to Step-Soft for refinement and connect to the system;
• The design to be suggested and entirely designed by Step-Soft, which means that it may or may not be similar to rest of the web site.

The connection between web application (e-shop) and central system of the customer should be performed by channel with high level of security, to protect customer's overall information. This access to S-Office can be performed only by Step-Soft, which ensures, that the communication will be performed only when it is necessary and only to necessary information in database.

To be simplified and automatized the work with e-shop, base functionalities of the system should be extended with necessary settings, for example:

• Price group for sales via e-shop;
• Document „Online sale", where the e-shop messages are imported;
• Ability to load client-specific price lists after online login of already existing in database contracting party with it's specific prices;
• Link to image of items in nomenclatures;
• Connection of e-shop to document „Delivery request".
